UPSC - IAS - General Studies
Preliminary cum Main General Studies batch ( Classroom)
In a year, we conduct only one batch of Preliminary cum Main General Studies batch. It normally starts in the first week of June. It is a 11 month course. In this batch, we cover all the General Studies papers in Mains as well as preliminary Exam.
As you all are aware that the subjects are interlinked so General Studies papers are interlinked. Moreover, students can write apt answers is in Essay and Ethics Papers only if they understand our Political, Social and Economical systems. It means, we need to have a plan to go about the subjects. So, we have carefully created a consistent approach in which the subjects are introduced to the students in an orderly, layer by layer manner.
Some subjects are purely preliminary oriented, some subjects are purely Main Exam oriented and some other subjects are needed for both Preliminary and Main Exam. But a student must understand that all the subjects are required at all the levels of exam. We explain it.
For Example, Polity is required for both Preliminary Exam and Main Exam but a student must understand it is also equally required for Ethics and Essay Paper. So When we teach Polity, we teach for both Preliminary and Main Exam. The same will apply for Economics, Current Affairs History and Geography.
Pure science is required for Preliminary Exam but its understanding is required for Science and Tech Part in Main General Studies Paper. So we teach accordingly. We can say a lot about it.
It needs a lot of planning and execution. Don’t worry we have the required expertise for it.
